The ending of Portal 2 (PC) in 3rd person view. Look at those arms! Valve forgot to make the rest of Chell! lol

Try it yourself! To activate 3rd person view:
1) Options, Keyboard/Mouse, Allow Developer Console, Enabled
2) In-game, open the console by pressing the "~" key
3) Type "sv_cheats 1" to activate cheats
4) Type "thirdperson" to enable 3rd person mode
5) Type "thirdpersonshoulder" for over-the-shoulder view
6) Enjoy Portal 2 because it's awesome!

I'm not necessarily talking about the actual game time of the delay of the portals. I'm talking about the description of the ASHPD in the game and Cave Johnson videos and media and stuff. It's "supposedly" going at the speed of light.

They don't. They travel slow in fact. Just see any Portal gameplay or try yourself, you will see that even on close distances there is a noticeable delay. Still, the 8 minutes in the comment you are replying to are time to reach the Sun, not the Moon.

The portal projectile doesn't travel at the speed of light. If it's velocity is constant, then it should have taken much longer than it did to reach the moon. I've shot portals across a large room before and it's taken more time than the end-game moonshot did. The distance between Earth and moon would mean that, even if it did travel at light speed, it would take 1.2 seconds to get there, and another 1.2 seconds for you to see the glimmer of the portal opening. And being so small and far away...

I think you're thinking about the sun. It takes about 8 minutes for light from the sun to reach Earth.
